The appointment of Zaluzhny as the ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain is a very logical step.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs needs a strong man in London.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, said this on the air of the telethon.
"Valery Fedorovych and I had several conversations, from which I was absolutely convinced that the soul of our esteemed general, former head of state, is for diplomatic work. And what's more, he even has a specialized education," the minister emphasized.
He added that Zaluzhnyi received a master's degree in international relations.
"Therefore, I think this is a very logical step. As a minister, I am definitely interested in a strong ambassador in London," says the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The president weighed all the factors and decided that Valery Zaluzhnyi is the optimal candidate.
"This is definitely a reinforcement for our system. A decision that meets the interests of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, I think, the interests of Valery Zaluzhny, and most importantly - the interests of Ukraine," Kuleba summarized.
It will be recalled that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the candidacy of former head of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny for the position of ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain.
