As reported by "Ukrinform", the senior military advisor of the delegation of Great Britain to the OSCE, Nicholas Okott, spoke about this during the meeting of the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum on Wednesday in Vienna.

"While the situation on the ground remains largely static, Ukraine continues to inflict significant losses on the Russian invasion forces, downing three more Su-34 fighter-bombers in areas near Avdiivka and Mariupol," Okott said.

The military adviser of the British mission to the OSCE pointed out that

"The continued destruction of military aircraft is a significant setback for Russia's military effort, considering that due to sanctions, Russia barely produces more than a few dozen aircraft each year. And these reports (about the shooting down of Russian aircraft by Ukraine - ed.) indicate that Russia is losing aircraft in 20 times faster than it can replace them," Ocott noted.

He noted that no one should have any doubts about the true goals of the Russian Federation in relation to Ukraine.

"Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Medvedev called Ukraine a 'cancerous tumor', denying its right to exist. And we saw in Buch what Russia is doing in the territories it controls," the OSCE added.

Ocott stressed that Britain will stand firmly by Ukraine to "ensure that Russia's illegal aggression does not prevail."
