The International Tennis Federation said that athletes from Belarus and Russia were allowed to perform in "individual neutral status" to participate in singles and doubles competitions.

At the same time, the athletes must meet the selection requirements, as well as comply with the rules of the International Olympic Committee, Reuters reports.

Only tennis players from the top 56 world rankings can win a license.

According to the rating, only two Belarusian tennis players - Aryna Sabalenka (2nd racket in the world) and Victoria Azarenka (30th) meet the conditions of Olympic selection.

Among men, there are no candidates for participation in the Olympics.

In December, the IOC allowed the participation of athletes from Belarus and Russia in the Olympic Games - individually, without anthems and flags.
