Eggshell

Do not throw away the eggshell, it is rich in useful substances and especially calcium.

The shell effectively deacidifies the earth and helps fight pests.

It is ideal for sandy soils.

It is most effective to add crushed shell to the holes during planting, it can also be used to mulch the soil. 

Husks from citrus fruits

Infusion of citrus peels, thanks to the high concentration of essential oils, is ideal for soil fertilization and pest control.

Take the husks and water in a ratio of 1:1 and leave them to infuse for several days, filter and spray the leaves of plants and the soil under them.

Do this early in the morning or after sunset so that it does not get on the plants.

Banana peel

Banana peel is organic waste that enriches the soil with nitrogen, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and iron.

You can mulch the plants with strips of banana peel or prepare a liquid fertilizer.

To do this, cut banana peels into small pieces and soak them in a bucket of water.

Leave for a few days, then strain the liquid and use it to water your plants.

Milk 

Milk contains a lot of minerals.

It is ideal for feeding cucumbers, and its use also helps in the fight against fungal diseases in plants.

You can spray the plants with milk every three to four times for two weeks.

Rich in calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and magnesium, it is recommended for feeding plants.

Dilute one or two tablespoons of honey in two liters of water.

Mix well and use this solution for watering plants.

Apply this liquid fertilizer once every two weeks. 

Herbal infusion 

Any grass from the site must be soaked in water for one and a half to two weeks.

The container with soaked grass must be tightly closed so that oxygen does not enter it.

The resulting fertilizer can be added to vegetable crops.

In order for the solution to ferment more effectively, any fermented milk product that has expired can be added to it during the settling time.

Ash

The ash is rich in trace elements and has an alkaline reaction.

It is most often used during pre-winter digging of the soil.

Also, ash can be added to the composition of substrates and, together with them, to the place of planting plants.

After yeast feeding, plants absorb useful substances from the soil and begin to grow actively.

This is one of the simplest and fairly inexpensive fertilizers known to gardeners and gardeners.

It is important to use high-quality yeast that is suitable for the period.

Yeast mixture cannot be stored for a long time, it is best to use it within a day. 

10 g of yeast and 1 liter of water are enough to feed seedlings.

Dissolve the yeast in warm water.

Then you need to add 2 tbsp.

sugar and some ash.

Leave to infuse for several hours.

Then dilute the mixture in 10 liters of water and water the seedlings generously.

Pressed yeast can also be used to prepare seedling feed.

For this, you will need 100 g of yeast and 10 liters of warm water.

Dissolve the yeast and add 5 tbsp.

You can add some ash.

The mixture should be infused for a day in a warm place.

Then the pressed yeast mixture can be further diluted with water.

Such feeding is best suited for garden and indoor plants.

It is especially recommended for seedlings of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, greens and berries.

Do not use yeast feed for onions, garlic, potatoes and sweet potatoes.

It is necessary to feed seedlings in this way three times:

  • Feeding in early spring.

  • Fertilizing a week before planting in the soil (increase watering for each bed three times).

  • During the growth of the seedling, you can feed it again.

    The amount of the mixture should be doubled from the previous time.
