Ishan Kishan: Ishan Kishan was contacted during the series against England

BCCI had announced the central contract on Wednesday and Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were left out of the contract by the board.

Since then there is a lot of discussion going on about these two players.

Both the players were part of the playing eleven of Team India in the past, but still both have not got a place in the central contract.

If we understand the indications given in media reports and BCCI's press release, both the players have been punished for not playing domestic cricket and have lost their central contracts.

Although no official reason was given as to why Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were dropped from the central contract, it is hinted at in a line in the BCCI press release.

The BCCI, in its press release, has recommended that all athletes give priority to participating in domestic cricket during the period when they are not representing the national team.

Ishan Kishan was a part of Team India that went on the South African tour, but during the Test series, he demanded to withdraw his name due to mental fatigue.

On Ishan Kishan being out of the team, BCCI had said in its press release, "Ishan Kishan has requested the BCCI to release him from the upcoming Test series against South Africa citing personal reasons. The wicketkeeper has been released from the Test team. Has been done."

After being out of Team India on South Africa tour, it was expected from Ishan Kishan that he would play domestic cricket.

But the wicketkeeper-batsman decided to remain absent from the Ranji Trophy.

Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid had clearly said that he needs to play some form of cricket to regain his place in the Indian team and he has to make himself available.

But Ishan Kishan ignored the coach's instructions.

After this, when Team India was to be announced for the Test series against England, it was expected that Ishan Kishan would be included in the team, but it did not happen and KS Bharat got a chance in the team.

When KS Bharat could not capitalize on the opportunity, the selectors turned to Dhruv Jurel and Jurel took full advantage of this opportunity.

Dhruv Jurel performed brilliantly behind the wicket and in front of the wicket and played an important role in the victory of Team India.

Now a report by ESPN Cricinfo has claimed that the Indian cricket team management had contacted Ishan Kishan during the India vs England Test series.

The report says that Kishan replied that he was not ready yet.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan was seen practicing with the Pandya brothers in Baroda.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had made it clear to the players on the eve of the third match of the series against England that they will have to play in Ranji.

But even after this Ishaan remained away from Ranji.

Apart from this, the report claims about Shreyas Iyer that Iyer had kept distance from Ranji due to injury but NCA did not agree that Iyer was injured.

After the second Test, Iyer complained of pain in his back while playing a long innings, but according to the medical staff he did not have any kind of injury.

When Iyer was dropped from the third and fourth Test, BCCI did not give any reason.

When he did not turn up for Mumbai in next week's Ranji Trophy match, Mumbai Cricket Association sources said he had back spasms.

However, Iyer was seen in the pre-season camp of Kolkata Knight Riders during this period.
