KISOZI, Uganda

: The COUNTRIES of Kenya and Uganda have agreed to resolve the petrol import crisis in those countries in a way that will ensure more competitive prices and higher equipment efficiency.

The agreement was made between the President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni and the President of Kenya, William Ruto, at President Museveni's farm in Kisozi State.

"In my meeting with President @KagutaMuseveni today, we also discussed the need for the two countries to fast track the design and construction of the Eldoret-Kampala-Kigali refined petroleum pipeline."

President Ruto has written on his X social network page.

In recent days, there has been tension between Uganda and Kenya over the importation of petroleum while Uganda is considering importing all of its cargo through the port of Tanzania instead of Kenya.
