The Dow Jones led the downtrend on Wall Street today as investors await a key inflation report and other economic data that will shape expectations for a rate cut by the Federal Reserve, Reuters reported. 

The Dow Jones lost 102.05 points, or 0.26 percent, to 38,967.18.

The broader S&P 500 index fell 2.79 points, or 0.06 percent, to 5,066.74, and the Nasdaq tech index lost 8.59 points, or 0.05 percent, to 15,967.67. , notes BTA.
