Over Mykolaiv Oblast, anti-aircraft fire shot down four Shaheds.

This was announced by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South, Nataliya Humenyuk, on the air of the telethon.

"The night passed quite restlessly, like the previous one, because the enemy does not stop its aggression, does not stop shelling. Unfortunately, it continues to use barrage shells. Another drone attack took place that night, in particular, on the southern regions. The enemy directed drones along a route that to his liking - through the temporarily occupied Kherson region and further, branching out in various directions of Ukraine. We worked on the Mykolaiv region, where 4 unmanned aerial vehicles of the "Shakhed" type were destroyed. Unfortunately, several buildings were damaged by the debris - the administrative building of an educational institution in the Mykolaiv region, a private building. But it all happened without a fire and there was no information about the victims. Combat work against such targets as combat strike drones is quite difficult. Often debris can cause damage even with the effective operation of air defense equipment," she said.

"That night, according to the preliminary information of the General Staff, a total of 8 drones were launched. This is more or less the constant number that the enemy regularly launches, trying to keep tense and wear out the air defense systems every night, scouting the readiness of the air defense system, trying to lay new routes taking into account how to bypass our defenses, in particular to lay out routes for future massive attacks," she added.

What is known about the night attack

On the night of January 29,

with eight Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and missiles of various types.

The drones were flying from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region in the Russian Federation, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"They also fired an Iskander-M missile from the region of the Voronezh region in Russia. And three S-300 anti-aircraft missiles were fired at Donetsk region from the temporarily occupied territory of the region," the report said.

The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense forces of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 

 within the Mykolaiv Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi and Rivne regions.
