In Ternopil, volunteers who went abroad to get cars for
the Armed Forces
were robbed .
Two residents of Dnipro and Chernihiv are suspected.
This is reported by the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office.
"Under the procedural leadership of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office, two persons were notified of the suspicion of a completed attempt to open theft of someone else's property (robbery) with the threat of violence, and of open theft of someone else's property committed repeatedly under martial law (part 2 of article 15 h 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
According to the investigation, two residents of Ternopil Oblast, who were going to buy a car for the Armed Forces, were interested in an announcement on the Telegram channel about the official production of documents for unimpeded border crossing.
The authors of the announcement contacted them and assured that they would help in transporting them across the border, the main condition for crossing the border is the availability of cash and foreign passports.
At the specified place, when leaving the regional center, the vehicle of the residents of Ternopil region was blocked by unknown persons with a demand to give them 10 thousand US dollars, threatening to use violence.
The victims managed to get out of the car and run away, and the attacker ripped off a shoulder bag from the shoulder of one of them, and the robbers took their other personal belongings that were in the trunk.
The police have identified two persons involved in the crime.

The attackers are natives of the Dnipro and Chernihiv regions, who have served sentences for murder, robbery and car theft, and drug crimes.

During the searches, the attackers were found and seized stolen items, as well as ammunition for weapons.
Precautionary measures have been chosen for the detainees in the form of detention without the possibility of posting bail.
