Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday and before his arrival, Bakshi Stadium has been painted in the colors of the national tricolor, and strict security arrangements have been made.
Prime Minister Modi will participate in the 'Developed India, Developed Jammu and Kashmir' program at the stadium.
Officials said that tight security arrangements have been made in Jammu and Kashmir for the Prime Minister's visit.
The Prime Minister is visiting the state for the first time after the abrogation of Article 370, which gave special status to the state.
Officials said that a large number of security forces have been deployed on the routes through which Prime Minister Modi will pass during his visit to Srinagar, while barricades have been installed at many places to prevent the movement of people during the VVIP visit.
Marine commandos have also been deployed,
drones and CCTV cameras are being used for surveillance, while security forces are patrolling on foot within a two kilometer radius around the venue. Marine commandos have been deployed to prevent the use of water bodies like Jhelum River and Dal Lake.
Many schools falling on the Prime Minister's route during his visit have been closed for Wednesday and Thursday, while the board examinations scheduled for Thursday have been postponed till next month.
According to the official statement issued on Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi will launch the 'Hallistic Agriculture Development Program' (HADP) worth about Rs 5,000 crore to boost the agri-economy in Jammu and Kashmir.
Will launch a scheme worth more than Rs 1,400 crore
Modi will also launch several projects related to the tourism sector worth more than Rs 1,400 crore under the Swadesh Darshan and Prasad (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Promotion Campaign) scheme.
This also includes the 'Integrated Development of Hazratbal Tirtha', Srinagar project.
He will also launch the 'Dekho Apna Desh People's Choice Tourism Destination Poll and Chalo India Global Bharatvanshi' campaign.
During the program, the Prime Minister will announce 42 tourist destinations selected under the Challenge Based Destination Development (CBDD) scheme.
1000 new government employees will get appointment letters
Prime Minister will distribute appointment orders to about 1000 new government employees of Jammu and Kashmir and will also interact with the beneficiaries of various government schemes, including achievers, Lakhpati Didis, farmers, entrepreneurs etc. .
The 'Hamagra Agricultural Development Program' (HADP) program will provide skill development to about 2.5 lakh farmers through the Daksh Kisan portal.
2,000 farmer 'Khidmat Ghar' to be set up
Under the programme, around 2,000 farmer 'Khidmat Ghar' will be set up and strong value chains will be established for the welfare of the farming community, the official statement said.
According to the statement, this program will generate employment which will benefit lakhs of marginal families of Jammu and Kashmir.
Other projects to be dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister include Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, Tourism Facilities developed in North Eastern Circuit of Meghalaya, Spiritual Circuit in Bihar and Rajasthan, Rural and Tirthankar Circuit in Bihar, Jogulamba Gadwal. District, development of Jogulamba Devi Temple in Telangana and development of Amarkantak Temple in Madhya Pradesh.
The Prime Minister will launch around 43 projects
The Prime Minister will also launch around 43 projects which will develop a wide range of pilgrimage and tourist destinations in the country.
These include Annavaram temple in Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh, Navagraha temple in Thanjavur and Mayiladuthurai districts of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal district of Puducherry, Sri Chamundeshwari Devi temple in Mysore district of Karnataka, Karni Mata temple in Bikaner district of Rajasthan, Una district of Himachal Pradesh Important religious places include Maa Chintpurni Temple, Basilica of Bom Jesus Church in Goa.
