Mithun Chakraborty created this character after seeing a friend

New Delhi:

There is one such film in the career of Mithun Chakraborty and Amitabh Bachchan in which both of them played memorable characters.

In Hindi cinema, this film is known as a cult film.

When its remake was made, it also became a superhit.

But the original film was released in 1990 and proved to be a flop.

Hope you have understood the name of the film.

We are talking about the film Agneepath.

This film was directed by Mukul S Anand and its producer was Yash Johar.

In the film, Amitabh Bachchan played the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan while Mithun Chakraborty played the role of his right hand man Krishnan Iyer MA.

This character of Mithun became very popular and the interesting thing is that there was a song about him in the film.

Mithun based his character on his friend

But do you know that Mithun Chakraborty's Krishnan Iyer MA's character from Agneepath was inspired from real life.

Yes, according to IMDB, this iconic character of Mithun was inspired by one of his roommates during his struggle days.

It is said that during his struggling days, Mithun Chakraborty used to live in room sharing with his friend Daviyo.

He used to pay Rs 150 for the room whereas Mithun used to pay Rs 75.

The reason for this was that Mithun did not have a bed and Davio had a bed.

In this way Mithan used to sleep on the ground.

When Davio was at work, Mithun used to sleep on his bed and when Davio returned, he used to say good and bad things to Mithun.

Mithun remembered this incident and he brought alive the character of Daviyo in the film Agneepath.

Of course, the film Agneepath was not successful at the box office but it is counted among the memorable Hindi films.
