Thus, the blue fuel reached over 290 euros per megawatt hour.

These are prices for gas due in September. 

The Minister of Energy: Obviously, we should turn to Gazprom

It comes after Russia's Gazprom said it would again cut fuel supplies via the Nord Stream pipeline to Germany for three days at the end of August. 

The news exacerbated concerns about the security of gas supplies to Western Europe.

The first gas peak was in early March and now a new peak has formed.
