The financial assistance of the European Union for

Ukraine

in 2024 is expected to amount to 16 billion euros.

We are talking about the Ukraine Facility program, which is designed for four years.

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, the budget of the program itself is 50 billion euros.

"This is support for investments, support for our economy and our movement towards membership in the European Union. This year we expect to receive 16 billion euros in budget aid from the European Union," said the prime minister.

He also noted that on March 1, the government approved the "Reform and Recovery Support Program" with the European Commission.

The agreement provides that the total budget of the program will increase to 374 million euros.

"These funds will be used to restore destroyed infrastructure, support small farms and other producers of agricultural products, and modernize checkpoints adjacent to the EU border," he added.

It will be recalled that New Zealand announced further support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and the expansion of military aid to Kyiv until the second anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.

According to Bloomberg,

the IMF is approaching an agreement with Ukraine

on the allocation of 900 million dollars in connection with the termination of aid from the United States.
