The COURT of Tunduru District in Ruvuma Region has sentenced Ally Rashidi Mbalamla (30), a resident of Muhuwesi Village in Tunduru District, to two years in prison, after being found guilty of possession of government loot.

Reading the judgment of Criminal Case No. 7964 of 2024, the Resident Magistrate of the Court, Lilian Haule said the court has reached the decision, after being satisfied with the evidence provided without leaving any doubt.

The accused committed the crime on December 01, 2023 by being found with 14 pieces of blind meat in Muhuwesi Village and was brought to court on March 25, 2023 and on that day the sentence was given.
