Russia has five times more living resources. However, even in war, it is not quantity that plays a key role, but quality. Wars have been repeatedly won by countries that had significantly fewer soldiers, equipment, and weapons than the enemy. Despite the significant superiority of the enemy in numbers, Ukraine will be able to win the war.
This opinion was expressed by military expert Petro Chernyk in a comment to Channel 24. He explained what our country needs to defeat the enemy.
"Ukraine needs two things to turn the tide of war and speed up victory. Highly skillful motivation – we have motivation, our skill grows. And as many high-quality weapons as possible. There are such cases in history, nothing new. If you want to know how it will be, study how it was," the military expert said.
What will help turn the tide of the war
During Israel's Six-Day War in 1967, a dozen and a half Arab coalition countries outnumbered Israelis in everything. The Israelites numbered one hundred thousand, and the enemy half a million. At that time, Israel had about 300 aircraft and 500 tanks, and the countries of the Arab coalition had more than 900 aircraft and 2800,<> tanks.
However, then the Israelis managed to do the seemingly unthinkable – to completely defeat the enemy. Israel was able to do this thanks to high-quality organization and very high-quality weapons.
Napoleon, at the Battle of Austerlitz in 1834, also defeated the colossal Allied forces. Alexander I ran away and could not understand how this could happen. There are two commanders who have not lost a single battle – Alexander the Great and our Ukrainian Ivan Sirko. Two absolute champions in world history.
"This (to defeat Russia – ed.) Perhaps. I am not one of those analysts who believe that the Allies have given nothing. Quite the opposite. They gave us as much as we could never have dreamed of. But now there is an urgent need to turn the tide of the war," Chernyk said.
The expert expressed hope that Ukraine will be able to turn the tide of the war with aviation, in particular the F-16. In addition, it is important what weapons will go to the fighters. Chernyk noted that our military desperately needs long-range missiles with a heavy warhead.
"Ballistic, namely ATACMS. Storm Shadow, SCALP, Taurus are very good, but they will not turn the tide of the war. Ballistics will also be broken by aviation," the military expert concluded.
Earlier, Petro Chernyk said that now Ukrainians cannot "exhale". The third stage of the war continues, when there is a grinding of forces and means. Whoever has more of these means will win the war.
