 Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha Seat:

It is believed that a huge political battle is certain in the Lok Sabha elections 2014 on Barmer-Jaisalmer seat, the second largest Lok Sabha constituency in the country, because three contenders each on Barmer-Jaisalmer seat have sought ticket from the party. Due to which Congress is in trouble.

However, it remains to be seen whose name Congress puts forward after BJP makes Kailash Chaudhary its candidate.

Even before the announcement of election dates, BJP released the first list of its candidates for 195 Lok Sabha seats, in which it has once again given ticket to Barmer Jaisalmer seat, expressing confidence in the sitting MP and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary.

Among the ticket contenders for Barmer-Jaisalmer seat, Congress has not yet opened its doors for any Lok Sabha seat in Rajasthan.

Colonel Sonaram Chaudhary, Prabha Chaudhary, Harish Chaudhary, Manvendra Singh Jasol, Hemaram Chaudhary and Umedaram Beniwal, who have returned home to Congress in the assembly elections, are among the main contenders.

Harish Chaudhary, former MP and minister in the previous Gehlot government of Rajasthan, is also preparing for this election season.

At the same time, the name of former minister Hemaram Chaudhary is also in discussions.

However, he had refused to contest the last assembly elections.

Manvendra Singh Jasol, son of former Union Minister Jaswant Singh and former MP, can also be the face of Congress once again from this seat.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections also, Manvendra Singh Jasol had contested against BJP's Kailash Choudhary on the same seat on Congress ticket.

However, due to Modi wave and being a new face, Kailash Choudhary had won.

Among the contenders, Prabha Chaudhary's name is also being heard in political circles these days.

She has also demanded a ticket from this Lok Sabha seat from the Congress leadership. Prabha, who was a student of Rajasthan University and was the first woman president, became active in politics once again.

At the same time, Umedaram Beniwal from ILP can also contest from Barmer-Jaisalmer seat. In the last assembly elections, Umedaram had lost by about 910 votes. This time he is demanding ticket from ILP.

It is also being speculated that there may be a formation tie between ILP and Congress, but as of now it is only a speculation.

In the political discussions of Barmer and Jaisalmer after the 2023 assembly elections, there is speculation that Ravindra Singh Bhati, who was elected as an independent MLA from Shiv Assembly, will also contest the elections as an independent from the Barmer-Jaisalmer seat.

After the release of the first list of candidates by BJP, Bhati's supporters are talking about his contesting the elections as an independent candidate on social media. 

Independent MLA from Shiv Assembly seat Ravindra Bhati returned from Britain on Monday.

Responding to the question of contesting the Lok Sabha elections, he said that he will take a decision after discussing with his colleagues, well-wishers and workers.

Although no official announcement has been made yet by Bhati regarding contesting the MP election, Bhati has been quoting Barmer Jaisalmer Balotra in his speeches on every platform including the Assembly.

It is believed that it will not be surprising if Ravindra Bhati contests as an independent candidate from Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha seat.
