At night, Russian troops staged a powerful attack on Ukraine. Although the occupiers did not use a record number of kamikaze drones, the Russians began to use attack drones more intensively.

This was stated during a telethon by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat.

"There was not a record number of drones last night. There was more. But 44 is about half a hundred and quite a powerful attack. 34 destroyed. Plus, operational-tactical drones of the past day, six of them were shot down," he said.

Ihnat noted that the invaders began to use attack UAVs of various types, not just Shahed, more intensively. He also stressed that Russia now has the opportunity to produce its own products for attack drones. That is why "there are really new challenges and threats in this regard."

Ihnat called operational-tactical drones "a very dangerous thing." After all, says the representative of the Air Force, they "actually 'hang' around the clock on the front line and even in the rear."

"This refers to the cities of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. UAVs are often observed there. It is a low-speed, stealthy, and small-sized target. It is very difficult to destroy them, the danger from them is very serious. Because then the Lancet can fly to that UAV," Yuriy Ihnat explained.

Night Drone Attack

On the night of Thursday, September 28, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with drones. The Russians used 39 kamikaze drones. Air defense shot down 34 UAVs.
