The American electric car manufacturer Tesla (Tesla) is most famous for its electric cars and automatic assisted driving. However, there is a Model 3 in China recently. The owner wanted to show automatic parking. Unexpectedly, the vehicle made a wrong judgment and turned into an "automatic crash" .

The original automatic parking was in good condition, and the angle was adjusted according to the site conditions.

But then the rear of the car was too far to the right, and it seemed that there was something wrong.

In this video from China, it can be seen that the original Model 3 was about to be reversed into the garage, and it could recognize the parking space normally. It was able to center and straighten the body to reverse, but the vehicle did not recognize the left side for some reason. When the parking space became wider, the Model 3 crashed into the cement pillar on the left side, changing from automatic parking to automatic crash. The video did not explain why the vehicle misjudged.

The pillar on the left, but the Model 3 can't detect it, and it shows a wider parking space.

As a result of not detecting the pillar, the vehicle rammed to the left.

According to the conditions listed by Tesla in the automatic parking of reverse parking, the driving speed must be lower than 13 kilometers per hour. If the driving speed is too fast, the automatic parking cannot accurately detect the parking space. In addition, the width of the parking space must be at least 2.2 meters. The parking lot must have at least three distinct lines before vehicles can park, such as stop lines, road markings, or clear curbs.

Automatic parking may not work without three distinct stop lines, or on textured roads such as cobblestone or brick roads.
