Tesla's electric car sales were stellar last year, but assembly quality was also much-discussed.

Recently, there was a Model Y owner who had just delivered the car for a week. While driving on the road, the steering wheel actually fell off. What's even more exaggerated is that Tesla actually asked him to pay for repairs.

A Model Y owner delivered the car for 10 days, and the steering wheel fell off on the highway.

A Model Y owner complained on Twitter that he was driving a Model Y that had just been delivered for a week. When driving on the highway, the steering wheel actually fell off. Fortunately, he was able to park the car on the side of the road. And there is no dangerous state of rear vehicle collision.

Afterwards, he contacted Tesla immediately, but the other party actually asked him to pay $103.96 for repairs. He was so angry that he posted a complaint on Twitter, pointing out that "the steering wheel broke down within a week of delivery. Isn't it Tesla who repaired it for free?" Is it the responsibility of the car?" He also said that he had lost trust in the car, and his family also felt that it was not safe to drive the car.

The owner complained about the incident on Twitter, and was even more annoyed that the manufacturer wanted him to pay for the repairs himself.

This incident sparked a lot of discussion on Twitter. Tesla later stopped requiring car owners to pay for repairs, and also offered the option to replace the car.

Although the Model Y is manufactured at the Tesla Superfactory in Germany, tolerances and assembly quality are still subject to criticism. This incident of the steering wheel dropping highlights that Tesla is not only poorly assembled, but has also affected driving safety.
