The gearbox can break for a number of reasons, some of which are related to driver error during use, and frequent repetition of low-quality gear changes, it is possible to damage the gear synchronous ring, in it which this action often occurs.

Marin Morava, technical advisor of HAK, explains how we can shorten the working life of the gearbox itself.

If we don't press the clutch enough when changing gears, there may be a sound reminiscent of scratching.

"If it's the first time it's happened to you, it probably won't negatively affect the transmission's proper operation.

On the other hand, if this happens often, there is a possibility of damage to the synchronous ring of the transmission stage, where this action often occurs.

When the synchronous rings are damaged, they lose their role to equalize the number of revolutions between the two shafts so that they can change speed more easily.

The driver will feel this problem during the gear shift as an increase in resistance during the movement of the gear lever, with the presence of a mechanical squeak", explains Morava.

As HAK Review writes, for drivers with this problem it is recommended to go to the service as soon as possible because there are other possible causes that can bring similar symptoms during gear shifting, such as malfunction or bad adjustment of the herd.

Any wait can make the problem worse.

It is also possible for the transmission oil to show metal coils, which is caused by wear during gear shifting.

This metal debris damages the bearings and gears of the transmission, and in the worst case, complete damage to the transmission and loss of movement of the car is possible.
