The maker of the iPhone, iPad and Amazon Kindle has announced that it will build electric tractors at its newly acquired factory in Lordstown, Ohio.

According to foreign media, Telegrafi reports, Hon Hai Technology Group, better known as Foxconn, announced that it will provide assembly services for DBA Monarch Tractor.

The agricultural equipment company will have its next-generation tractors and battery packs built by the international industrial giant.

Thus, full-scale production of Monarch Tractor's Mk-V Series will begin in the first quarter of 2023, the companies say.

Meanwhile, Monarch's Founder Series tractor will be manufactured at its facility in Livermore, California, starting in the fourth quarter of this year.

Monarch Tractor calls itself the world's first electric, smart tractor manufacturer and has raised $81 million in funding, Automotive News reports.

Foxconn will help the company with manufacturing at its 6.2 million-square-foot facility in Ohio, which it bought from Lordstown Motors in May for $230 million.

This is the latest step in the company's mission to build Electric Cars.

The company will also manufacture the Fisker Pear at its Ohio plant and may be working on a deal with Apple.

Apple has recruited talent from across the automotive industry and filed patents for automotive technology.
