Production of the Audi Q6 E-Tron has begun and two test cars have recently been spotted on German roads.

The Q6 E-Tron is Audi's first electric car to use the latest PPE platform, which will be used in the upcoming Porsche Macan electric car, which was also spotted testing in the Alps.

Despite the camouflage, slim headlights and air intakes at the bottom of the front bumper could also be seen.

The front lights are split as in many of the new cars, BMW were the ones who started the trend with its i7 model, although this idea actually sends us back in time to Citroen, ArenaEv reports, Telegrafi follows.

It can be clearly seen that there are split lights on the bumper, immediately below the main headlights which are higher.

There is also a set of fog lights in the lower part

The Sportback version of the Q6 E-Tron is very different from its sister model, the roofline starts to slope from the start as it starts to reach the B-pillar.

It looks a lot like the stripes on the Porsche Macan.

This design won't have much of an impact on interior space, the Q6 is a big car and will still offer enough space for rear passengers.

The taillights on both cars appear to be identical and use the same light design as first seen on the E-Tron GT.
