The Chevrolet Silverado EV has already been made official, but we're still waiting for the first pickups to be available to customers.

Right now, the company has started testing the first prototypes on the streets of Detroit, and luckily for us photographers were ready and waiting.

We can say that it was Mary Barra herself, the executive director who gave them the news with a status on Twitter, Telegrafi reports.

Spotted – a @Chevrolet Silverado #EV being put through its paces at the @GM Milford Proving Ground.

Looking forward to seeing your photos of these trucks in the wild when they start testing on Detroit streets next month!

Fortunately, the car is not camouflaged at all, so we can see the entire undisguised body of the Silverado, although we did not expect any surprises at this time.

The test car had neither brake lights nor taillights, but only so-called "retainer seats" for the lights - enough to comply with local law.

All the shapes of the test car's parts are the same as those that Chevrolet had revealed to the public earlier.

The company, on the other hand, has promised that once the Silverado EV is released, it will be able to travel 643 kilometers on a single charge.
