BMW released a new video from its museum in Munich, highlighting the special exhibition for the 50th anniversary of the BMW M brand.

In typical BMW fashion, the video showcases interesting prototypes from their "secret garage", including the M5 convertible, the V12-powered Z3, and the unique M8 model which has a unique engine sound originating from the La Mans racing car.

It is known that none of the cars got the green light for production, but that BMW engineers built working prototypes and kept them well preserved.

The video also gives us a glimpse of other cars from the show, including a stunning BMW 3.0 CSL racing car and the first M-badged BMW 5 Series.

Visitors to the BMW Museum will be able to see these cars up close, getting enough information about the history of the BMW M.
