Red Bull's advanced technology department has announced that it will design, develop and produce a brand new hypercar that will provide a superior driving experience on the track.
The new supercar will be called
RB17
, as Red Bull Racing "mysteriously" surpassed this label from RB16 2021 to RB18 this year.
The design was signed by Adrian Newey, the man behind many phenomenal Formula 1 cars, and is also the creator of Aston Martin’s impressive model, Valkyrie.
Newey is now turning his attention to the RB17 model, which is unlikely to be lawful for the road, so regulations will not limit the desire for performance.
"The RB17 will summarize everything we know about creating Formula 1 championship cars in a package that will offer extreme levels of performance on a dedicated two-seater track," Newey said.
So far only one sketch has been published, but it is known that the RB17 will be powered by a V8 hybrid engine that will develop more than 1100 horsepower.
Only 50 copies will be produced at the Red Bull home in Milton Keynes and production will begin in 2025.
The price of the car will be 6 million euros, without taxes, so customers will need to have at least 9 million euros in their account to enter the waiting list.
This award includes access to the Red Bull F1 simulator as well as on-track training.
