Tesla was unprepared for the massive return of office workers, an investigation by The Information revealed, while it had problems including lack of parking spaces, lack of desks and poor Wi-Fi.

This comes after company CEO Elon Musk reportedly wrote an email to her staff in May that he expected everyone to work in the office for 40 hours a week.

If an employee did not show up, the electric car company would assume that he has resigned, Telegrafi reports.

Many Tesla office workers have worked from home since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of employees has doubled since before the pandemic, The Information reported, and the company was unprepared for a return to office work of this magnitude.

After employees received the news of their physical presence at work, some of them traveled for several hours to Tesla's office in Fremont, California, and did not find enough seats and the network was weak.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
