A group of people were spotted around 10am on Sunday trying to "free" two vehicles from the sand at Porth Beach in Newquay, Cornwall - England.

According to British media, the Telegraph reports, photos from the scene show a group of people trying to pull the van out of the sand.

While just a few feet away from it is what looks like a white Ford C-Max which is also stuck on the beach.

And a witness said the group took "a good half hour to 45 minutes" to "liberate" both vehicles.

She added that this was not the first time this had happened and said a sign should be "placed" on the beach.

"It took about eight people to finally push them out of the sand," she told Cornwall Live.

Meanwhile, the striking detail is also the fact that the yellow car, respectively the van, was introduced there to "liberate" the white car, but it also got stuck.
