The US government will release to the public the collision data of cars that have automatic or semi-automatic steering system, data in which Tesla is expected to be more isolated, a brand which unfortunately has a large number of collisions, writes New York Post.

In the coming days, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration plans to publish the number of accidents on which they have been gathering information for nearly a year.

The agency last week said in a separate report that it had documented more than 200 accidents involving Tesla-branded autopilot vehicles, systems such as "Full Self-Direction", "Traffic Awareness", and other semi-automatic steering systems of Tesla cars, Telegrafi reports.

The number of Tesla brand collisions is significantly higher compared to other brands according to data which were provided to the Associated Press, on the eve of the publication of data by ASKTA.

The number of Tesla car collisions appeared as part of the ASKTA investigation into the collision of Tesla vehicles with emergency vehicles and other vehicles which were on the road at the time of the accidents.

Tesla meanwhile has more cars operating with a semi-automatic steering system in the US compared to other car manufacturers in the country, nearly 830 thousand models produced, a production which started in 2014, and as a company take real-time online data from their vehicles.
