The Chevrolet Corvette ZR2 convertible manufactured in 1971 is one of only eight units to be auctioned off and from which millions of dollars are expected to be won.

Auction house Mecum is organizing the auction that will last from 13 to 21 May, will be the best opportunity to sell the Chevrolet Corvette ZR2 convertible, Telegrafi reports.

According to expert estimates, for this car the new owner should allocate from 1 to 1.2 million dollars.

Chevrolet introduced the Corvette ZR2 as a final version for those who want to race the car.

The convertible is equipped with a range of components from the PRO ZR2 Special Purpose LS6 Engine Package, which represents a combination of the LS6 V7 engine and the Muncie M22 Rock Crusher, which has a four-speed manual transmission.

Chevrolet had sold the Corvette ZR2 model produced in 1971 for $ 7,672, which today would be worth $ 54,400.

This high price also meant a small number of cars sold - respectively 12 and only two were convertibles.

One of the two convertibles is being sold at the aforementioned auction.

It is about the sports car that has only 14 thousand kilometers traveled.

It is still painted in the original Brands Hatch color.

No restoration has been carried out on it, but the car is in perfect condition.
