Ferrari on Tuesday unveiled the new 296 GTS convertible model, the fourth plug-in hybrid model, as the luxury sports car maker moves forward with its electrification strategy.

According to foreign media, the Telegraph reports, the car follows the three previous Ferrari hybrid models that went into full series production - SF 90 Stradale in 2019, its convertible version, called SF90 Spider, in 2020, and 296 GTB of last year.

As it turns out, the 296 GTS is a convertible version, equipped with a strongly reversible 'roof' of the existing 296 GTB model, a luxury car that sells for around 300 thousand euros.

Both cars share the most important features, including a 6-cylinder turbo engine mated to a 122 KW electric motor for a total of 830 horsepower and 25 kilometers of silent electric-only power.

Its top speed exceeds 330 kilometers per hour, Ferrari said.
