The performance of Ford’s Lightning F-150 could build or tear down the company, according to William C.Ford Jr., the company’s chief executive and great-grandson of Henry Ford.

And he is relying on Chris Farley cousin Jim to accomplish it.

"If this launch does not go well, we can tarnish all the privilege," Ford told the New York Times.

Ford is currently battling competitors like General Motors, Tesla and Rivian, each of which has invested heavily in the electric vehicle sector, and is betting a lot that the F-150 will be the car to dominate.

The company already has 200,000 reservations for the electric van, which is scheduled to start production next Monday.

Jim Farley, CEO of the Ford Motor Company and cousin of comedian Chris Farley, is nothing but serious about the car's potential for success.

Farley is betting that the speed of the furon (which can reach 96 kilometers per hour in four seconds) and the price of 40 thousand dollars, which is lower than the competitors, will help it stand out from Tesla, the cheapest car of which starts with more than 48 thousand dollars.

Tesla plans to start production of the electric Cybertruck next year.
