Actually, according to the report of Indian Express, BCCI had talked to Hardik about this and had put a condition that only if you play domestic cricket, you will be included in the central contract.

Hardik accepted this condition of BCCI, due to which Hardik was able to join this central contract.

According to the report, a BCCI official spoke with The Indian Express and said, "We have discussed with Pandya, who has been asked to play the domestic tournament. As per the BCCI medical team's assessment, he will be able to bowl in the red-ball tournament." It was difficult for Pandya to play Ranji Trophy because he is not in a position to do so. But if there is no tournament for the Indian team, then Hardik will play white-ball tournaments in domestic cricket. Only on this condition, BCCI has given him a central contract. "

At the same time, Irfan had shared a post on social media and gave his opinion on BCCI's decision.

Irfan had written in the post.

"If players like Hardik don't want to play red-ball cricket, then should he and others like him play white-ball domestic cricket if they don't want to play international cricket?" He further wrote in his post. "If this doesn't apply to everyone then Indian cricket would will not get the desired results."
