The midfielder of "Juventus" and the French national team,

Paul

Pogba

, was disqualified for four years for the use of doping.

As Tuttosport reports, this decision was made by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal of Italy, which previously

suspended

the 30-year-old Frenchman from football until the circumstances are clarified.

Pogba failed a doping test after the match of the first round of the Italian Serie A against Udinese, which took place on August 20 last year.

In October, it became known that the repeated doping test of the French midfielder also showed an increased level of testosterone in his blood.

It was reported that Paul faces a four-year "ban" if it is proven that he intentionally used a prohibited drug.

In the end, the football player failed to prove the opposite.

Pogba has already said he will appeal his ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.

It will be recalled that in the summer of 2022, Pogba

returned

to Juventus as a free agent after six seasons in Manchester United, who paid the Turin club 105 million euros for the transfer of the Frenchman.

Paul previously defended the colors of the "Bianconeri" from 2012 to 2016.

In total, the midfielder played 190 matches for Stara Signora, scoring 34 goals and 41 assists.

This season, Pogba spent only 52 minutes on the field in two Serie A matches, in which he did not distinguish himself with productive actions.

The footballer has been playing for the French national team since 2013 and has played 91 matches, scoring 11 goals.

As part of "Le Bleu", he became a silver medalist at Euro-2016, the winner of the World Cup-2018, and also won the League of Nations-2020/21.
