Ten Hag said in his press conference before the summit match against Manchester City on Sunday: “This is not true. It is not right at all for a clip like this to be released. It is completely inappropriate and they were wrong so they must apologize for that.”

The satirical video published by Fulham showed the moment Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes fell and pretended to be injured, before quickly getting up to receive a pass, as it appeared that he did not suffer from anything.

Ten Hag expects Fernandes and Raphael Varane, the duo who participated against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth round win on Wednesday despite injury concerns, to be ready for the league match against defending champion Manchester City.

Ten Hag said: “They (Fernandez and Varane) struggled to be part of the match and came out of it well. I expect them to be ready for Sunday’s match as well.”

The Dutch coach added that he feels his team's enthusiasm ahead of the upcoming summit and believes that he can take advantage of his awakening after the 1-0 win over Forest and qualify for the quarter-finals of the Federation Cup.
