BCCI Central Contract: Cheteshwar Pujara was certain to be out of the contract

New Delhi:

BCCI Contract List:

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the names of 30 players contracted for the year 2023-24 season.

In this, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer not getting contracts has become a topic of discussion among the veterans and fans.

A section on social media has also come out in support of both of them.

However, apart from these two stars, there are four more players who have been released from the contract by BCCI.

Like Ishan and Iyer, these four were also part of the contract for last year (2022-23), but there is one player among them whose not being given a contract is quite surprising.

Pujara had to go out, but...

In the previous contract, the selection committee had not given place to Ajinkya Rahane, but Cheteshwar Pujara was part of B category (Rs 3 crore).

Now when the team management had made it clear about Pujara that they were looking towards the future, it was clear that Cheteshwar Pujara would not be given a further contract.

And something similar can be said about pacers Umesh Yadav and Shikhar Dhawan, who were part of the C category.

There was a slight hope of Umesh's comeback, but after the policy of promoting young pacers, Yadav's chances were also closed, but one name among them is shocking here.

...What was wrong with this player?

There was a time when all-rounder Deepak Hooda was in the news.

He was played in the top order, but soon the equations changed with the arrival of youth, so he was out of the planning, but here leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who was a part of C category, was quite surprised to not get a place in any category. Does tax.
