Shakhtar Donetsk lost to Portuguese Porto in the match of the final 6th round of the Champions League group stage. The high-scoring match at the Dragão Stadium in the city of Porto ended with a score of 5:3.

To reach the Champions League playoffs, the Pitmen only needed to defeat the Portuguese club, while the Dragons were even satisfied with a draw. The home team took the lead in the 9th minute - after a failure in the Donetsk side's defence, Galeno sent the ball into an empty net from close range.

In the 29th minute, the Orange-and-Blacks equalised. Danylo Sikan shot into an empty net after Oleksandr Zubkov's pass. Interestingly, during Shakhtar's attack, the linesman raised the flag, recording an offside. But then the main referee used the help of VAR and scored a goal.

Before the break, Porto managed to score the second goal. In the 43rd minute, Galeno scored a double, striking a powerful blow from outside the penalty area into the near corner.

In the second half, the Dragons hit Dmytro Riznyk's goal for the third time. In the 62nd minute, in the Pitmen's half of the field, Galeno intercepted a pass from Heorhii Sudakov to Giorgi Gocholeishvili and passed it into the penalty area, from where Mehdi Taremi stabbed the ball into the near corner.
