Ravi Bishnoi: Indian players dominate T20I rankings

Ravi Bishnoi ICC Ranking: A series of five T20 International matches was recently played between India and Australia. India has won the series 4-1 and Ravi Bishnoi performed brilliantly during this series and he has also benefited from this performance. Ravi Bishnoi has become the number one T20 International bowler after the update in the latest rankings. Thanks to his brilliant performance in the series against Australia, Bishnoi has jumped five places and he has been ranked first in the ICC T20 International bowling rankings on Wednesday.

Bishnoi took nine wickets in five matches in the recently concluded series against Australia. The 23-year-old Bishnoi has 699 rating points, thus gaining five places to displace Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan (692 points) from the top.

Let me tell you, Bishnoi made his debut for India only last year. Bishnoi has been adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding performance in the series. Bishnoi made his debut in February 2022 and since then he has played 21 T20 Internationals in which he has bagged 34 wickets.

Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and England's Adil Rashid are jointly placed third with 679 points. Sri Lanka's Maheesh Theekshana (677 points) is in the top five. Bishnoi is the only bowler in the top-10 in the shortest format of the game while Axar Patel jumped nine places to 18th.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav, who led India to a 20-4 win over Australia in the T1I series, remained at the top of the batsmen's rankings and remained at number one while opener Traturaj Gaekwad dropped a place to seventh. At the same time, India's young Yashasvi Jaiswal has climbed 16 places to 19th position. Hardik Pandya retained the third spot in the all-rounders' list despite missing the series against Australia due to injury.

Apart from this, there have been some changes in the Test rankings after the first Test of the series between Bangladesh and New Zealand, while there has been a change in the ODI rankings after the first ODI of the series between the West Indies and England. However, there has been no change in the top position in Tests and ODIs. Apart from this, the position in the ranking of Indian players also remains the same.
