Inter defeated Napoli on the road in the central match of the 14th round of the Italian Serie A. The match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium ended with a score of 0:3.

At the start of the meeting, the Partenopei were more active, but goalkeeper Yann Sommer's saves allowed the Nerazzurri not to concede.

Towards the end of the first half, Simone Inzaghi's wards opened the scoring in the match. In the 44th minute, after a pass from Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu scored with a spectacular shot from outside the penalty area.

In the second half, Inter doubled their lead. In the 62nd minute, Lautaro Martinez found Barella in the penalty area of the Neapolitans with a pass, and he easily dealt with two defenders and shot past the hosts' goalkeeper Alex Meret.

At the end of the match, the Milan club scored for the third time. In the 85th minute, Marcus Thuram shot into an empty net after a cross by Juan Cuadrado.

After this victory, Inter (35 points) returned to first place in Serie A. The Nerazzurri took the lead from Juventus (33 points), who beat Monza on December 1 (2:1). Napoli (24 points) dropped to fifth position.
