The national team of Ukraine has decided on the composition for the women's sprint, which will take place on Friday, December 1, at the first stage of the 2023/24 Biathlon World Cup in Östersund, Sweden.

As the coach of the women's national team Mykola Zots said in a comment to Suspilne Sport, our country will be represented in the sprint race by five participants: Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Anastasia Merkushyna, Anna Kryvonos, Daria Blashko and Lyubov Kipiachenkova.

Of those biathletes who are currently in the camp of the Ukrainian national team in Östersund, Iryna Petrenko was not included in the application for the non-sprint. Because of the cough, the coaching staff decided not to put her in the race so as not to risk her health.

In turn, the men's sprint will take place on Saturday, December 2. On Sunday, December 3, the competition program will be closed by the pursuit race.
