On Wednesday, November 29, the women's relay took place at the first stage of the 2023/24 Biathlon World Cup in Östersund, Sweden.

The national team of Ukraine in the race was represented by the following relay four: Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Daria Blashko, Anna Kryvonos and Iryna Petrenko. Our team finished in 12th position.

At the opening stage, Dmytrenko ran for the "blue-yellows". She flawlessly practiced prone shooting, and used two extra rounds on the rack, and eventually passed the baton to 13th.

At the second stage, Blashko closed all the targets in the prone shooting, but made four mistakes on the firing line while standing and went for one penalty lap, which threw the Ukrainian national team to the 17th position.

Then Kryvonos went the distance. She demonstrated clean prone shooting and then used two extra rounds on the rack.

At the last stage, Petrenko was accurate in prone shooting and used two extra rounds in standing. She managed to pull up Ukraine from 15th to 12th place and prevented our team from being removed from the race as round-robins.

The Norwegian team won the relay. The second place was taken by Sweden. Germany closed the top 3.
