Tottenham lost to Aston Villa in the home match of the 13th round of the English Premier League (EPL). The tense match in London ended with a score of 1:2.

In the 22nd minute, Giovanni Lo Celso put the home team ahead. Two minutes later, the Lions could have equalised, but Ollie Watkins' goal was disallowed for offside.

Before the break, Aston Villa managed to equalize the score - Pau Torres scored an accurate shot in the 45th + 7th minute of the match.

In the second half, Unai Emery's team took the lead - in the 61st minute, Watkins scored a goal.

At the end of the match, Spurs came close to escaping defeat, but the referee disallowed Son Heung-min's goal due to offside.

After suffering their third defeat in a row, Tottenham (26 points) dropped to fifth place in the Premier League. Aston Villa (28 points) climbed to fourth position.
