The national team of Ukraine drew against the Italian team in the match of the last 10th round of selection for Euro-2024. Due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian occupiers, the nominally home match for the "blue-yellows" took place at the BayArena stadium in Leverkusen, Germany, and ended with a score of 0:0.

For both teams, it was a decisive match in the fight for the continental championship. Only in case of victory, the national team of Ukraine would receive a direct ticket to the European Championship. Whereas it was enough for the Italians not to lose the match against the Ukrainians to get to the European Championship.

Earlier it was reported that the national team of Ukraine guaranteed itself a place in the play-offs for Euro-2024. The "blue-yellows" will compete in the playoffs for the right to play in the continental championship. Rebrov's team will find out its next opponent later. The play-offs are scheduled for March 2024.

It will be recalled that the two best teams from each group advance to the final part of the 2024 European Championship. The winners of three more tickets to the continental championship will be determined in the playoffs, where 12 teams will get depending on their performances in the League of Nations-2022/23.

The draw for the final part of Euro-2024 will take place in December 2023, and the tournament itself will be hosted by Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The German national team, as the host of the tournament, got to the continental championship without selection.
