Australia defeated India by 6 wickets in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium and captured the title. On one side after the match, the Australian players were jumping with joy and hugging each other. On the other hand, the Indian players had broken hearts and moisture in their eyes.

Virat Kohli congratulated Glenn Maxwell and gave his jersey as a gift.
