Ravindra Jadeja celebrates Virat Kohli's birthday with 'King'

New Delhi:

Virat Kohli's birthday celebration: Sunday became a memorable day for Team India when they registered a big win by 243 runs in the ODI World Cup match against South Africa. Later, Ravindra Jadeja's five wickets helped South Africa to be bundled out for 50. After the match ended in favor of the host team, the entire Indian camp celebrated this happy occasion in a great way.

In a video shared on social media, the team was seen celebrating at their hotel where Kohli and Jadeja were cutting a cake. The all-rounder took some cake in the game and tried to put it on Kohli's face, but he successfully survived the attempt. Talking about his performance, the star Indian batsman said it was tremendous for him to equal his "hero" record.

"It was a big match, probably playing against the toughest team in the tournament. It was an attempt to perform well. Because it happened on my birthday, it became special and people made it even more special for me. After the match, Kohli said, "I am excited that today it is not just another game. People from outside look at the game differently. "It's too much for me right now, it's very special for me to match my hero's record. He is perfect when it comes to batting. It's a very emotional moment for me. I know where I came from, I know the days I have seen him on TV. Getting that appreciation from them means a lot to me.

Talking about the match, Kohli's unbeaten 121 off 101 balls, Shreyas Iyer's stormy innings of 87 off 77 balls and finally Suryakumar Yadav and Jadeja's fireworks helped India set a big target of 327 runs. The proteas were shattered like cards. India captain Rohit Sharma also deserves applause for his 24-ball 40, which put South Africa straight on the back foot with his aggressive intent. When it came to the Proteas' batting, the pitch was almost the same, but the Indian bowling was again at a different level, playing the team with the same tenacity and ability that they have been doing throughout the tournament. Team India will now face the Netherlands in their last group-stage match in Bengaluru on November 12.
