"Dnipro-1" beat "Veres" in the match of the 10th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the Dnipro-Arena ended with a score of 2:0.

The home team took the lead in the 10th minute of the meeting. Oleksandr Filippov removed the opponent on the left flank of the penalty area and accurately shot into the far corner.

In the 31st minute, Dnipro doubled their lead. In this they were helped by a curious own goal by Semen Vovchenko - the Veres player cut the ball into his own net after Volodymyr Adamyuk's cross from the right flank.

For Yuriy Maksimov's wards, this is the third consecutive victory in the UPL. Earlier, Dnipro defeated Zorya (1-0) and Metalist 1925 (1-0). Currently, Dnipro-1 is seventh in the standings with 15 points.

Veres has failed to win any of the last four matches in the UPL. Serhiy Lavrynenko's team with 6 points is in the penultimate, 15th position.

In the 11th round of the UPL, after the international break, Dnipro-1 will play against Dynamo, and the Rivne club will host Rukh. Both matches will take place on October 22.
