(CNN Spanish) -- Inter Miami visits the Chicago Fire on Wednesday in the corresponding match of Major League Soccer (MLS). And Lionel Messi will almost certainly be absent from the team again. The Argentine star has not played a football match since September 20, when he was replaced in the 37th minute due to a physical discomfort. Does Messi suffer an injury or is it overload?
"It's fatigue, I don't think there's a muscle injury," Inter Miami coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino said the next day.
Fatigue, overload due to the impact of a demanding schedule or injury, there is no certainty about Messi's physical condition and no medical report has been released that mentions the reasons why the 10 has been absent from the competition.

Messi, 36, has an unparalleled record in football history. His career, in addition, has not been excessively marred by physical injuries, something that has allowed him to have regularity in his game and almost always play the key instances in clubs and the selection of Argentina.
But what are the injuries Lionel Messi has suffered?

While Messi's absence from Inter Miami has not been officially declared an injury, the Argentine star has had few serious injuries in his career.
The specialized portal Transfermarkt has a history of Messi's injuries that began in the 2005-2006 season with a muscle tear and that kept him away for 74 days from playing matches with FC Barcelona.
The Transfermarkt tally lists a number of variables Messi was unable to play for, ranging from "flu" to "training deficit." He does not rule out even the times when Messi could not be quarantined: 14 days and 2 games with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the 2021/2022 season.
Messi's injury that kept him away from the courts the longest
A metatarsal fracture in the 2006/2007 season that, according to Transfermarkt, prevented Messi from playing matches for 87 days. He missed 19 games in total, most with FC Barcelona and others with the Albiceleste.

The shortest injury
Achilles heel problems that kept him injured for 2 days and prevented him from playing a match with PSG, according to Transfermarkt.
The most frequent
Those related to the thigh. Transfermarkt records five thigh injuries and three thigh problems.

And the knee, what?
It is arguably a common injury in football, but no less serious. For 51 days, between September 28 and November 11, 2015, Messi could not wear the mythical 10 due to a rupture of the knee ligament that, according to Transfermarkt, prevented the Argentine from playing 13 games with FC Barcelona and others with the Argentine national team. With PSG, the portal records that Messi could not play 5 games due to knee problems.
