The newspaper "Marca" Spanish club Tegres belonging to the second division of Colombia announced the death of its president (63 years) bullet, after the defeat of his team at home and in front of his fans, last Saturday, three goals to two.

Baez was returning with his daughter to their home in Bogotá before being surprised by two armed men on a motorcycle near the stadium.

His daughter survived unharmed, and authorities are currently investigating the murder.

The security official of the Bogotá Metropolitan Police, Colonel Wilford Méndez Rojas, said: "The president of the Tigres club was shot and taken to hospital where he later died."

"The Bogotá police have deployed all their forces in the field of criminal investigation and intelligence.

Evidence is being collected through video cameras and witness statements to determine the perpetrator of this criminal act."

"The Tigres family and the sporting community are devastated by this event," the club said in a statement, adding: "His commitment to the team and his dedication to the development of sport in our region has left an indelible imprint."
