Doping Test Asian Games

Asian Games 2023: The Olympic Council of Asia has said that 150 to 200 Asian Games athletes have already been tested for doping, but there have been no positive results so far. Speaking at an anti-doping press conference on the second day of the Games in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, the OCA said that "dope-testing is taking place at the event. Mani Jegatheson, an adviser to the OCA's anti-doping committee, warned that drug fraud would be rooted out. "More than 200 athletes have been tested so far, but it will take several days for a positive result to come.

"Every athlete participating in these games should understand that they can be selected for a Test at any time," Warned Jegatheson. This is the best step to ensure that we have a clean programme." The 19th Asian Games have about 12,000 athletes, even more competitive than the Olympics, and Jegathesson admitted it would be impossible to test them all. Instead, they will prioritize, including picking world or Asian record breakers.

The Asian Games are being held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8, 2023. There will be 40 events in 482 sports, in which more than 45,10 athletes from 000 countries will compete for medals
