Asian Games 2023: Indian shooters win first gold medal
Asian Games 2023: The Indian men's 10m air rifle team won the gold medal with a world record score on the second day of the shooting competition at the Asian Games here on Monday. The trio of world champion Rudranshu Patil, Olympians Divyansh Panwar and Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar improved their previous world record of 1893.7 points with a total score of 1893.3 in the qualification round. The previous world record was set by the Chinese team less than a month ago during the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan. Rudraksh scored 632.5, Tomar 631.6 and Panwar 629.6. South Korea won the silver medal with a total score of 1890.1 while the bronze medal went to China with a score of 1888.2.
