Hussein Shahat (29 and 58) and substitute Ahmed Abdelkader (90+4) scored the goals.

The match was scheduled for the end of last week but was postponed due to Al Ahly's link with the African Super Cup match last Friday against USM Alger (0-1).

The two teams will meet next Friday at Cairo International Stadium also according to the agreement of the management of the two clubs after the African Union refused to hold the first leg in Ethiopia because its stadiums did not conform to international standards.

Al-Ahli players dominated most of the match, although they were very slow and reckless in ending attacks.
